The Eternal Now

Waves push in,
waves pull out

a soft carpet,
the cradle of the sea

holds me, as witness
of this moment

As the crests dance in,
breaking into pearls

having never
known abundance

my feet, sink in
with the shift of sand

'Tween the tides and the grains
as I wax and I wane

I leave behind time
and infinity is mine

Now which, is the sea?
And which, is me?

You no longer know
when you're in eternity
